Yesterday i played a two and a half hour dj-set at the Eve Bar in Bochum (germany). The party was called "Dj Redstorm & Friends" and was organised by the Bochum based DJ Redstorm.

I played the warm up from 10:30 to 1:00 with some deep house beats and later some disco influcenced house music.

Today i had a long car-ride back home from Stuttgart. It was boring, but one tracks saved my day. I didn´t heard it for a long time and just auf starting this tracks i rediscoverd my love for this piece of early house music.

Droppin´some jazzy stuff tonight ... just a small mix

Tonight i had the need to chill a while with some jazzy beats, just 15 minutes but some nice grooves. If you like you can listen to it. Don´t forget to lay back and get into the sounds of for example the uk jazz funk combo incognito and one of my alltime jazzy classic tracks "Think Twice" by Donald Byrd with these lovely truimpets.

There are two kinds of people in the world wide house scene. Those who don´t know Henry Street Records and those who need to know more if you say these words.

Some of them will directly get some flashbacks into the 90s, when the brooklyn beats were raw and the disco samples invades their brains.

Now in 2011 Johnny D one of the heads of this legendary label released "Brooklyn House Party" with a continious mix by Johnny D himself.

By the way, for those which don´t know any Henry Street Song think about the legendary Funk Phenonema by Armand van Helden or Kenny Dope all time disco house hit "The Bomb". These sound fall in all your minds and was remixed lots of times.

And not only these sounds fall into MY mind some years ago! There were a lot of other legendary Beats and disco cuts!

This compilation is a little piece of house history!
